According to Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety can have major impact in the workplace. It can cause a person to turn down opportunities due to fear of failure or cause them to make mistakes because they are distracted by overwhelming feelings.
According to Better Health there are ways to address anxiety. Some are:
mindfulness
relaxation techniques
correct breathing techniques
counseling
I would like to focus on another technique to alleviate anxiety. Exercise. There are some exercises that may help relieve anxiety.
Breathing techniques can help relieve anxiety. According to Healthline, breathing in slowly through your nose, then holding for a few seconds and exhaling through your mouth is a good breathing technique.
Another exercise is relaxing your muscles. First, squeeze your hands and make a ball with your fist. Then hold the squeeze for a few seconds and then relax your hands is a good way to relax your muscles.
And finally, counting is a good exercise to alleviate anxiety. Go to a quiet place, close your eyes, and count to ten. Repeat this as many times as needed. This is a good way to reset and relieve your anxiety.
Investing in your mental health and wellbeing will not only help in your personal life but also set you up for success in your job and career. Never neglect taking care of yourself, it is the best ROI.
